Our Mission
Having been given new life and love from Jesus Christ, we seek to bring the life and love of Jesus to our neighborhoods and communities through the power of His Spirit.
Our Values
We value intergenerational ministry
Family looks like different things for many people. This is why, we at Saginaw Valley embrace families of all kinds. The face of family is ever changing, but we believe the generations need each other. This is why we choose to engage in intergenerational ministry.
Acts 2:17
We value being kingdom reflective
Scripture clearly indicates a need for us to minister as a unified People of God. Our community and the Kingdom of God are diverse. Our church must strive to clearly reflect the Kingdom. We are not willing to accept qualifiers of “church” based on racial or cultural differences. We are ONE in Christ.
Galatians 3:28; Revelation 7:9
We value being a priesthood of believers
We are convinced that every believing follower of Christ has been made new by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. As redeemed people we are called to point one another to Jesus at every opportunity. In all our conversations, ideas and actions, we are responsible to reflect the redeeming love of Jesus.
1 Peter 2:9
We value being a house of prayer
Foundational to all Christian experience and life is the ongoing communication with the God who gives us life. As E.M. bounds would say, “prayer is the work of the Church”. By all means possible, we seek to pursue open communication with God on behalf of the spiritual life of ourselves, our neighbors, and our community. We are committed to pray for REVIVAL of the church and the coming of the Kingdom.
Matthew 21:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:17
We value intentional engagement
Though our lives are “hidden in Christ”, He has firmly and intentionally placed us in community. God’s design for His people has always been that they would be a light to the world. Our mission is ever outward, away from self and personal ambition, and toward the transformation of our world for the sake of the Glory of God and the love of his creation.
